The US State department has lifted its travel advisory that warned US citizens against travel to Zimbabwe. A spokesman for the State Department said that "The political-economic situation is still unpredictable but we lifted the restrictions because there was a return of basic medical, food and fuel services".
The announcement comes a week after Japan lifted travel warnings on Zimbabwe and is expected to generate an influx of tourist arrivals.
